Description: Late 1960'. Susanna Kaysen is a sensitive 18 years old girl, who lands up in the Claymoore Psychiatric Hospital after an overdose of aspirin. She denies that the accident was a suicide attempt as her parents believe, nevertheless her stay extends for over a year. Susanna is settled on a teenagers unit, where gets to know Polly "Torch" Clark - a burn victim, Georgina Tuskin which is a pathological liar, Daisy Randone - a sexually abused girl with an eating disorder, who cuts herself, Janet Webber an anorexic girl and Cynthia - a girl who has a tendency to dress as men and is hospitalized solely because of her parents' dislike. It soon appears that getting out of the hospital is much more difficult than getting in. The eighteen-months stay in the hospital truly becomes a school of life. Movie is based on a autobiography book of Susan Kaysen.
