Description:"A Beautiful Mind" is a one of the best movies ever made, the movie was nominated for the most prestigious awards 48 times - it won 23 awards and got 4 Oscars. The movie owes it's success to a perfect performance of Russell Crowe and wonderful presentation of paranoid schizophrenia. From the medical point of view this psychiatric disease was accurately presented. The advantage of this movie is that the viewer can, so to speak, go inside of the mind of the main character and empathize with his disease - he may see the schizophrenia from the inside.. Guy - if you are interested in movies touching medical subjects and you have not seen this yet, you've got no time to waste :)

He wouldn't be as successful without an invaluable help of the unappreciated Vieven Thomas who worked with him since 1930. Interesting plot and a perfect performance encourages makes this movie worthy of watching with a plot that absorbs the viewer from the very start.
The movie truly worth seeing.

Review: The Fourth Floor is a remarkable movie. It is a history of four young boys who suffer from osteosarcoma - a malignant bone tumour. Usually movies about oncological diseases are depressing and sad, but this movie is quite different - we can find a really big dose of optimism,joy and hope in this movie. Although they've undergone several surgical procedures and chemotherapy cycles and even the amputation their legs - they do not lose their enthusiasm and the joy of life.

I sincerely recommend this movie, because it touches very serious ethical topics. Movie is based on a Jodi Picoult's book.

Clay calm and confident to a moment when he experiences "anesthetic awareness" - a condition that leaves him conscious and pain-sensitive although paralysed.. He isnt able to move nor even to shout with pain. To make things worse it appears that Clay falls a victim of a plot schemed by the people most important to him. Totally paralysed begins a fight for his life...

It is a cult American serial, the story begins in the year 1867 in the wild west in a small town - Colorado Springs. It tells a story about a brave female physician, who has finished the faculty of medicine in Harvard University and after her father's death she abandons Boston to set up her practice in Colorado Springs.
All in all, the number of episodes reached 148! Obviously in all of them dr. Michaela Quinn, also called Dr. Mike helps the local town dwellers. Her first experience was a flu epidemic. She was also struggling with burns, typhus, delivery in a stable and so on.. She even succeeded in bringing back vision to her adopted son!
The serial is multi threaded, because apart from the diseases, treated using even Native American methods it shows fundamental problems of equality, women rights, problems of adolescence, love and coexistence of Whites and Native American People.
