Case description: 35-years old male came to a hospital with high fever, cough, dyspnoea and problems with respiration. Laboratory tests shown: lymphocytopenia, thrombocytopenia and increased level of: LDH, AlAT and CRP in plasma QUIZ question: Any ideas?

Is there any sign of hepatosplenomeg aly and palpable lymph nodes.
Is the haematocrit low?
What are the ferritin, serum iron and transferrin levels?
At this stage I'm thinking streptococcal septicaemia is a possibility.
Haematocrit is normal but there is limphocytopheni a and trombocytopheni a. Levels of LDH, AlAT are increased, also CRP.
Ferritin, serum iron and transferrin levels are normal.
Streptococcal septicaemia is incorrect diagnosis.
